W13.2 May 31(Fri) extra credit

 Method:

During the days of trying to live without technology, I kept a handwritten diary to record my daily life and feelings. Every night, I would spend a few minutes writing down my experiences and observations of the day, recording them simply and clearly on paper.

Description:

During this time, I found that there are some technologies that I can live without, such as computers, smartphones, microwave ovens, etc. I learned to use library books to obtain information and use paper and pen to complete some things and knowledge.

However, there are some technologies that I find it difficult to live without, such as modern transportation, medical technology, electricity and water supply systems. These technologies have a great impact on the quality and safety of my life.

Analysis:

Our lives are very different from those in the 19th century. People in the 19th century did not have electricity, modern medical technology and transportation. They relied on manual labor and simple living facilities. And now almost all aspects of our lives rely on the support of technology.

In the short term, we can live without some technologies, but in the long term, it is difficult for us to completely get rid of our dependence on technology. Technology has been deeply integrated into our lives, affecting our work, study, social life and entertainment. Therefore, this experience without technology made me realize the importance of modern technology, and also reflected on our dependence on technology. Although technology brings convenience, it also limits our choices and freedom to some extent.

What did I learn from this experiment?

In this experiment, I tried a life without modern technology. I kept a handwritten diary to record my daily experiences and relied on traditional methods to complete daily tasks, such as hand-washing clothes and walking to go out. I tried to avoid using computers, mobile phones and other electronic devices, and went to the library to communicate with friends face to face.

What did I learn?

Through this experiment, I learned a lot. First, I realized the importance of modern technology in my life, especially in learning and communication. Second, I learned to complete tasks with limited resources, such as hand-washing clothes and walking to where I want to go and recording important things with paper and pen. Finally, I realized the hardships of people's lives in the past, and I cherish the convenient life now more.

Is it interesting?

This experiment is both interesting and challenging. Trying a lifestyle without modern technology allowed me to experience life in the past, such as writing something by hand and doing more outdoor activities. I found these activities to have a special charm. However, life without technology also has many inconveniences, especially when completing schoolwork and dealing with urgent matters. Overall, this experiment was a valuable experience that gave me a deeper understanding and appreciation for modern life.
