After watching What if we release books episodically? After this TEDx talk, I became very interested in new ways of publishing books. Speaker Elle Griffin brought up the innovative idea of releasing books in collections, rather than publishing complete books all at once. This approach is similar to that of a TV series, allowing readers to look forward to the release of a new chapter every once in a while and maintain their interest and enthusiasm for the story.

Through this video, I discovered that publishing books by collection is a novel way of publishing, which allows readers to continue to follow and look forward to the development of the story. This model is not only applicable to fiction, but can also be extended to non-fiction books, engaging readers by gradually revealing the content. This mode allows readers to interact with the author and other readers during the reading process, sharing their feelings and expectations. Social media and online platforms can be important channels for interaction, helping to build an engaged community of readers. Publishing by set reduces publishing costs and makes it easier for new authors to enter the market. By continuing to publish content, authors and publishers can increase the visibility of their books and build a fan base over time. In addition, the set release format can also test market response, adjust the content of subsequent chapters based on reader feedback, and improve the market adaptability of the work.

For authors, publishing by set relieves the stress of writing, allowing them to adjust the development of the story in a timely manner based on reader feedback. This can not only improve the quality of the work, but also maintain the freshness and inspiration of the creation. This publishing model has also led to new business models. Charging per episode or acquiring chapters by subscription is a flexible and potentially profitable way to make money. In addition, this model can also increase revenue through collaborative advertising, sponsorship and other ways.

In SUMMARY:

The video not only gave me an insight into a novel way of publishing books, but also got me thinking about the potential impact of this model on authors, readers, and the publishing industry. By publishing by set, readers can be more deeply involved in the development of the story, and authors can have more flexibility to create and publish their work. This interactivity and flexibility opens up new possibilities for the future of publishing and may become an important trend in the future of publishing. In short, this novel way of publishing can not only enhance reader participation, but also bring more creative and commercial opportunities for authors and publishers.
