Reading:Wikipedia:Reliable sources
While scholarly publications, authoritative media, and expert commentary are generally considered reliable sources, Wikipedia also considers non-traditional sources, such as blogs or self-published material, depending on their citation and quality. This reflects the openness and flexibility of the Wikipedia community to information and their constant attempts to adapt to different content and sources.
In the movie "The Sting", the following is my analysis combined with Goffman's theory.
Communications:
The communication and interaction between characters in movies play a crucial role in formulating and executing scams. The protagonists convey information through verbal communication, code signals, hints, and other means, and use techniques such as code words and behavioral performances to deceive and mislead others in order to achieve their goals.
Treatment of the Absent:
In a “The Sting”, sometimes certain people need to be excluded in order to carry out the scam smoothly. These people may be kept in the dark, or their existence may be hidden to prevent them from revealing the secrets of the plan.
Staging Talk:
When the protagonists plan and execute scams, they need to create a false impression through dialogue and behavior, making others believe in their character and purpose. They may construct a fictional scene through false conversations, identities, stories, etc., in order to deceive and lure others into their scams.
Team Collaboration:
The protagonists in " The Sting" are usually a team, working together to plot and carry out scams. Everyone plays different roles, with their own tasks and responsibilities, but they need to work closely together to successfully complete the scam.
