Chen Gui’s class answer (3.11 question )

How do we shape our behavior because of others?

I've noticed that we tend to shape our own behavior by observing others, which is a process of socialization. When people see others around them engaging in positive behaviors, they are often inspired and encouraged to mimic those actions. This phenomenon plays a crucial role in various aspects of life, especially in encouraging people to adopt environmentally friendly behaviors.

For instance, imagine a community where the majority of individuals actively participate in environmental conservation activities such as waste sorting, energy conservation, and using bicycles for transportation. When others witness these positive environmental behaviors, they may perceive them as the norm within the community and feel motivated to follow suit. They might feel compelled to take some environmental measures themselves to align with other community members or out of a shared sense of responsibility for environmental protection.
