W9.1 April 29 (Mon) extra credit

I read Chapter 6 "Unfavorable" about this book and I thought it was very interesting. It revealed the complex relationship between urban space and social life and gave me a deeper understanding of the structure and social interaction of cities. Through the author's research and theory, I began to think about how cities impact our daily lives and how we interact in urban environments. The content of this book is fascinating and for me, who is interested in urban sociology, it was a very engaging read.

For social science students, this book may present some challenges because it involves some abstract concepts and theories and requires a certain theoretical background and thinking ability. However, it also provides a wealth of cases and empirical studies to help readers understand the theory and apply it to practical situations.

I think this is still a great book for social science students in the 2020s. It not only helps students understand the basic theories of urban sociology, but also inspires them to think about important issues in urban development and social change. Although it may take some time and effort to understand, this book is definitely a classic worth reading for students interested in urban sociology.
