REGIONS
In Pleassantville, David & Jennifer are in front stage. Because, they in Pleassantville that is sitcom world from reality. So they have to act as bud and Mary Sue of Pleasantville, not David and Jennifer in reality. They should act on the personality and appearance of bud and Mary Sue that people of Pleasantville think of, not their original personality. This behavior can be said to be a front stage because they care about how they look to others, not their real personality, and they consider it important and act.
TEAMS
David and Jennifer is team. They share a common goal of returning to reality in Pleasantville and a common secret that they come from another world, and they are working together to achieve their goal.
ROLES
David and Jennifer is performance. They are play in front stage. In Pleassantville, they play Bud and Mary Sue to deceive Pleassantville’s people and to be not caught they are people from other world.
Pleassantville’s people (exclude Bud and Mary Sue) are Audience. They know only what the performers disclosed and what they have observed themselves. In other words, they are only know Bud and Mary Sue in Pleassntville, not David and Jennifer in Reality.
